Background: Kaposi sarcoma (KS) is a vascular neoplasm associated with infection by Human Herpesvirus-8 (HHV-8). Although classical KS typically affects elderly men of Mediterranean or Eastern European origin, its clinical presentation may mimic a variety of benign and malignant vascular tumors, posing diagnostic challenges. Dermoscopy has emerged as a valuable noninvasive tool, particularly for identifying the characteristic rainbow pattern.
